One World Orchestra Presents: Songs From Home
One World Orchestra (OWO) is a brand new ensemble making waves on the UK scene.
They are a collective of high-profile artists from different cultures and musical backgrounds living and working in the UK, but drawing on British, Colombian, Congolese, Indian, Iranian, Jewish, Kenyan, Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, Ukrainian, US & Zimbabwean traditions to create an exciting and unique new sound and performance experience.
Together OWO blend the rhythms, stories and energies of their different cultures to touch hearts, challenge thinking and get audiences up on their feet and dancing. Every performance includes creating a new song, live with the audience!
OWO is dedicated to the vision of an inclusive, multi-cultural society. They lead music projects that bring people just arriving into the country together with people already here, using music as the bridge to create new relationships and community.
This performance is family friendly with opportunities to learn to play, sing and take part... or just listen and enjoy the music.
Supported by funding from Arts Council England.
