Big Band: Swingin' at The Spiegel

The ultimate big band experience is back at the Spiegeltent for their 8th season! Brighton's biggest, baddest band, the one & only: Brighton Jazz Mafia are returning with an extra special performance of the most iconic big band album: Atomic Mr Basie.

The band led by saxophonist Alex Bondonno will faithfully recreate this record, first released in 1958, performing the music from the album in its entirety.

This all-star full big band formed from the cream of the Brighton jazz scene follow up the sounds of Count Basie with their own original homages to the greats of the big band jazz era, Rat Pack classics performed as they were intended, as well as modern classics given that special Jazz Mafia styling.

Not only will you have the unbelievable wow of the full big band sound, but expect a dance floor full of vintage dancers, join them in swinging out on the dance floor at this amazing venue.
