Elliot is a 15-year-old emo kid from Decatur, Illinois. His parents are going through a hard time and all he wants is to find someone he can friggin hard-relate to.
Enter Max: the washed-up, British thirtysomething reality TV star who changes Elliot's life forever. Fast forward to the present day, when a now grown-up Elio takes a long, hard look in the mirror and is totally horrified by what he's become: the co-owner of a spin studio in Brighton.
A debut character work-in-progress from comedian and actor Derek Mitchell. A regular on the London comedy circuit and in the Netherlands, he most recently appeared in the third series of Ted Lasso on Apple+.
Derek's character sketches have generated hundreds of millions of views and a dedicated following. He was a finalist in the Leicester Square Sketch Off 2023 and the Comedy Crowd's 2023 Chortlist. He is one half of sketch duo Horseplay.
